Water Management


Water Management includes the analysis, protection, development, operation, or maintenance of the land, vegetation, and water resources of a drainage basin for the conservation of all its resources for the benefit of its residents. It is also referred to as the practice of planning, developing, distributing and optimizing utilization of water resources under defined water polices and regulations.

There are many aspects to water management including: wastewater treatment, floodplains, stormwater, irrigation, groundwater, riparian areas, wetlands, water quality protection, restoration and conservation.
