Names of available listservs:

  • WASHED: Montana Watercourse hosts the Montana Watershed Coordination Council's statewide network listserv. The WASHED listserv is a communication tool for watershed groups and those involved with Montana watershed work. Its purpose is to distribute  announcements, ideas, grant notices, job opportunities, and other information and resources for Montana watershed work.  Messages distributed on this listserv do not reflect or endorse the views of Montana State University, Montana Water Center, Montana Watercourse, or the Montana Watershed Coordination Council. NOTICE of a restriction that applies to all WASHED listserv users: Announcements that either endorse or oppose pending legislation are prohibited. This listserv is managed by the Montana Watercourse at Montana State University, and users are explicitly prohibited from posting messages that can be construed as lobbying.  Thank you.

  • MTVWM: Montana Volunteer Water Monitoring - used for communication on techniques, technical tips and news information on water monitoring in Montana. Teachers may also share curriculum and lesson plan ideas on teaching water quality issues.

  • YRW: Yellowstone River Watch - a network of teachers who have been monitoring water quality on the Yellowstone River and its tributaries since 1996. Use this listserv to share data, information, curriculum ideas and lesson plans, to hear about training or funding opportunities and to get support from the coordinators.

  • WETLAND: Western wetlands communications - a forum for sharing wetland information, resources and events with others.

To join a listserv, email the Montana Watercourse at mtwatercourse@montana.edu with the subject heading “Subscribe (name of listserv you wish to join) .” The administrator will then add you to the listserv and you should receive a confirmation.
